Author POV

Choi Soobin, A fresh faced doctor, who recently joined in Namsan Hospital, working as a surgeon. He was determined with his duty as a Doctor, doing his job perfectly yet some uneasy feelings digging inside him through last few weeks.

As he had heard about the shared stories of inexplicable feelings and paranormal encounters of patients or nurses grew curiosity in him.

He wonder what kind of secrets hiding in the abandoned dark hallway, but the other fellows warned him to not interfere with this, as he slowly started to forget about this, continue to do his work as surgeon.

Until one night

"Dr Choi thank you for your work today" the lady nurse says, before heading out of his cabin, soobin nods his head in response then take a file of his patient, started to study his patient's case.

It was almost midnight, the hospital fill with a silence, echoing through the empty hallways, as every patients were already sleeping.

Soobin was busy with his work, until, he heard someone's footsteps outside of his cabin, he gaze up from his file, he didn't take it seriously at first because that's maybe Dr Yeonjun passing by, as the older's cabin was near his room.

But then suddenly he felt like something fall on the ground and makes a loud sound, the sound comes from outside, yet Soobin didn't bother to walk out of his room.

After that for few minutes everything was normal until again soobin started to hear noises coming from the hallways as someone was running around the empty hallway.

This time soobin's curiosity hits him as he closed the blue file and get up from his chair, walking towards his door, he held the knob and come out of his cabin, looking around the hallway, he present it empty.

"What's wrong with me today?" He mumbled, must be tired from surgeries so that's why things happening like this with him.

He was about to go back in his cabin until he noticed Dr Yeonjun coming out of a patient's room, while checking a file in his hand.

"Dr Choi?" Yeonjun looked up as he raised his eyebrows. "Yes Dr soobin? Anything I can help with?" Yeonjun asked.

"Did you just come out of that room or?" Soobin asked, visibly confused, waiting for yeonjun to response. "Yeah I just come out of my patient's room, she wasn't getting to sleep so I have to wait in her until she fall asleep and just come out, but why?" Yeonjun questioned at the end.

Soobin hesitantly shook his head as he mumbled, "Nothing, you can go now".
"You shouldn't stay awake for long time Dr soobin, my shift ends so see you tomorrow morning" Yeonjun said while going toward his room.

Soobin slowly walked back into his room, profound in his thoughts, if yeonjun come out of his patient's room right now then who could be that? . He slide it off because maybe that's was someone else.

He thought to ignore it and sat down on his chair again, trying to distract himself from his thoughts by trying to do his work.

He was distracting himself from all this thoughts then suddenly he gets a phone call from Yeonjun.

"Soobin-shi! Can you check on The patient in room no xxx? I forgot to check on him and I'm already out of the hospital" He hears what yeonjun says, even he doesn't went to step out of his room right now but he can't resist the request from his fellow too

Soobin found himself walking toward the empty hallway while reading the numbers of rooms, he was alone in the hallway until he noticed a figure going from side to another side

He stopped at his pace, heart pounding Fastly as he was confused that either it was real or his hallucination. He clears his throat and started to look for yeonjun's patient's room.

But then suddenly the lights of the hallway started to flickering, things started to shake violently, a feeling of fear spread in his chest as he was never that type of person who is brave in situations like this.

The hallway lights started to turn off quickly and soon everything went dark.

Soobin took out his phone and turn on the flashlight, checking around the hallway, slowly stepping forward until he felt a presence behind him.

He's heart started to race in fear, he doesn't want to look back to check if there is someone or not, but he felt the presence is coming closer to him, slowly and slowly.

Soon Soobin felt warm breathing on his shoulder, as like the figure was now so close to him. Soobin's feet frozen at it's place, sweating from his forehead.

He gets it something is behind him but he's not brave to turn back and face it

Putting courage in himself, he slowly turns back and he regrets it immediately.

A ghostly lady figure was standing in front of his face, her face almost covers with her hairs, crimson hue eyes, piercing through him, and the smile, the most wide and creepy smile soobin ever seen.

He felt his all strength come back as he let out a loud scream, trying to run away but unfortunately tripped over his feet and falls on the ground, he tries to run away but he felt a hand holding his neck, trying to choke him.

Soobin tries to free himself from that ghostly figure but her strength was so strong, the spirit threw him to the other side, as soobin flung to other side of the hallway with a unnatural speed.

His body hits with the walls and he started to bleeding from his forehead. He somehow gets up from the ground and started to run towards the elevator, he aggressively started to press the buttons but the elevator wasn't working so he started to run down the stairs .

He knows that the spirit is coming after him, he was in fourth floor of the the hospital.

Breathing heavily, he runs down the stairs but suddenly a strong wind hits him from behind, causing him loosing his balance and falls down the stairs.

He still didn't give up yet as he need to escape from here, he gets up and run towards the entrance gate, but the doors closed by itself and trapped soobin inside.

Soobin turns back to see the figure standing far away from him, smiling at him. Right now in front of his eyes, soobin only seen death.

He slowly starts to lose hopes as he slides down on the ground, knowing that there is no other way he can't escape.

He bring his hands together, begging to the spirit to let him go. "please-e let me go-o" Tears rolling down his eyes, afraid to lose his life.

The figure start to step towards him slowly, making soobin more anxious by her presence then suddenly the spirit mugged towards him with a quick speed. Soobin closed his eyes and let out a loud scream, his scream echoing the empty entrance.

"DR CHOI??" Yeonjun ran towards soobin who was crying and shaking on the floor, covering himself, to protect him from a unknown entity.
Yeonjun bend down to him and pull the younger into his embrace.

"Dr Choi, calm down it's me Yeonjun??" He says trying to calm his fellow doctor. "She's going to kill me?!!" Soobin screams in fear, hiding himself in yeonjun's arms.

Yeonjun looks around the empty entrance, understanding the situation, he patted soobin's head. "I knew it something like this would happen" he thought, resting his head on top of soobin's head.

Yeonjun make soobin sit on his car, closing the door he went to the driving seat and started the car.

"I already predicted that something is going to happen when you asked me earlier if it was me who passed by your cabin" Yeonjun stated while driving the car.

"But didn't you call me, asking me to check on your patient?" Soobin says, still shaken from what happened earlier.

"No I didn't? Why I would, plus I was in my own cabin" Yeonjun answered, soobin now got it that it was all trap from the first .

"I feel something was fishy, so when I step out of my cabin went to check on you I couldn't find you in your room, so I started to look around for you" yeonjun added more

Actually two things happened in the same time but in two different ways, soobin being chased by a spirit was only something soobin experience and in yeonjun's point of view, the hallway was normal, but soobin wasn't in his room which he later found the younger in entrance.

Yeonjun was already feeling something fishy from earlier that's why he went to check on the younger

Soobin lean back into his seat, letting out a deep breath, after encountering something like this he can't continue to work as surgeon in this hospital anymore, he will resign soon.

This was something that he's not going to forget in his entire life, what if yeonjun didn't come at the right time, what would have happened with him, only gods know.

"You should take day off Dr Choi, call me if you need anything" Yeonjun said from inside his car, before driving away.

Soobin stared at his car for few seconds until it disappeared from his vision, he took another deep sigh and walked inside his house.

He took his coat, place it on the couch he sat down and relaxed his tired body. He closed his eyes while leaning back in his couch.

He was taking rest until he felt someone held his hand, a cold touch which gives him shiver and the whisper makes his eyes open in shock.

"Come with me"
